2024 BAT STANDARDS
CHAMPIONS EVENTS presents over twenty (20) tournaments per year with Host organizations that may require sanctioning for Insurance or Post tournament championship qualification. Therefore Champions Events has adopted the following BAT RULES (BELOW) for all tournaments
which include Baseball and Softball Tournaments. Please e-mail us with any questions.
BASEBALL
8u All bats must be stamped BPF 1.15. USA BATS ONLY.

9U thru 12u All bats must be stamped BPF 1.15.or USSSA Bats allowed. Wood bats allowed. 2 3/4" barrel allowed.
13u thru 14u: -3 weight/length ratio only. All -3 bats must be stamped BBCOR. Wood bats allowed. No 2 3/4" barrels.

15U - 18u: One-piece wood bat only, No bamboo or composite wood allowed.
Bat rules apply to the age division you are playing in (not the age of the player or team).
Penalties for illegal bats will be assessed as per the NFHS rule book.
1st Violation - Batter is declared out (if discovered before a pitch to next batter) & head coach is
restricted to the dugout for the remainder of the game.
Subsequent Violations (Same Game) - Batter is declared out
(if discovered before a pitch to next batter) and Head Coach is ejected.
When a batter is declared out for violation of bat rules, the defense may take the penalty or
result of the play. The head coach penalties apply in either case.

SOFTBALL - FASTPITCH
Bats may not exceed a Bat Performance Factor (BPF) of 1.20. This should be marked on most, if not all, USSSA Approved Fastpitch bats. Bats can

be made from aluminum or other metals; fiberglass, graphite or other composite material; or wood. Bats can be made from one or multiple pieces.
